Field Staff
Catherine Mesianto Lengewa is the Chief of Party for C-Change/Kenya. She is a specialist in human capacity strengthening and behavior change. She has a Bachelor of Education degree in Nutrition, MA in Counseling, and PhD in Behavior Change. She has over 15 years of experience working in education and 10 years addressing behavior change in public health. Before joining AED, she worked five years for a CDC-funded John Snow Inc. project as BCC & Training Advisor and Deputy Chief of Party. Prior to that, she consulted for International and local NGOs, FBOs, and the Government of Kenya and other countries in Africa.
George Kahuthia is the Program Manager for the Family Planning/Reproductive Health program. He has over 25 years of experience providing technical assistance in BCC programming, training and capacity building for reproductive health and HIV and AIDS programs. Prior to joining AED, George worked in various capacities with the Centre for African Family Studies (CAFS), Program for Appropriate Technology in Health (PATH) and the National Coordinating Agency for Population and Development (NCAPD) in Kenya. George has a Masters degree in Population Studies from the University of Ghana and has received professional training in population communication from the Johns Hopkins University and the Asia Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD).
Geoffrey Kibet is the Finance Officer. Prior to joining AED, he worked as a Grants Accountant for two years for Aphia II Western, a USAID-funded project, and as an Accountant for four years in World Vision-Kenya. He has also worked as a Financial Accountant for Corn Products International in Eldoret, Kenya. He has experience in financial accounting, grants management, and capacity building, especially for community-based organizations. He holds a degree in commerce (accounting) and is currently pursuing part-time post-graduate work at Kenyatta University.
Lilian Gathoni Nderitu is the Administrative Assistant. Prior to joining AED, she worked as a Human Resource Administrative Assistant in Equity Bank. Prior to that, she worked in a similar capacity supporting programs for the E.C.T.C project in Southern Sudan. She has a Bachelor of Education in Home Economics and professional training in human resource management.
